Gutter & Downspout Inspections

Gutters and downspouts are checked and cleaned on a maintenance schedule to prevent damage to foundation walls from water overflow and ice back-up. We also offer Leafproof® , the most advanced gutter protection system on the market. Learn More About Gutters.

 

Gutter & Downspout Inspections Include:

1.All debris will be removed from the gutters and downspouts.

2.All gutter seams, outlets and miters will be sealed.

3.Install outlet screens, at the request of the homeowner.

4.Install Leafproof®, the most advanced gutter protection system on the market, at the request of the homeowner.

  

Shingle Roof Inspections:

1.Asphalt shingles will be checked for:

a.Loss of protective granules

b.Cracked, blistered or curled shingles

c.Missing shingles

2.Water lanes will be checked for signs of deterioration

3.Vent pipes will be inspected to ensure that the metal flange penetrations are maintaining a proper seal.

4.Metal valleys will be checked for possible expansion and contraction damage.

5.Galvanized and tin flashings will be inspected and painted approximately every five (5) years.

  

Slate Roof Inspection:

1.Roof will be inspected for broken, missing or flaking slate.

2.Metal flashings will be checked for proper seals.

3.Vent pipes will be inspected to ensure that the metal flange penetrations are maintaining a proper seal.

4.Metal valleys will be checked for possible expansion and contraction.

5.Galvanized and tin flashings will be inspected and painted approximately every five (5) years.

6.The ridge of the slate roof will be checked to ensure that it is properly sealed with roof cement or metal ridge roll.

  

Flat Roof Inspection:

1.All joints and metal flashings will be inspected for expansion problems.

2.Roof base flashing material at the wall and rooftop unit areas will be checked for breakage and deterioration.

3.Vent pipes will be inspected to ensure that the metal flange penetrations are maintaining a proper seal.

4.Fiber asphalt roof coating will be applied to the roof approximately every five (5) years to prolong the life of the roof. Note: a gravel-surface built-up roof system never needs to be coated.

5.Galvanized and tin flashings will be inspected and painted approximately every five (5) years.

6.Common flat roof problems will be checked, including:

a.Blistering on the top layer of felt.

b.Deteriorated seams of roof felt.

c.Cracked and dried out top layers of roof coating.
